-crits are essential for learning to communicate your work which is extremely important
-trust your instincts as a designer
-experience is as important as a degree
-set time aside for working on your own projects expanding portfolio is essential
-learning software is essential always
-over time your style emerges, remember that trends come and go, find your own
-doesnt always have to be inspired by something, doesnt need a reason if you enjoy it
